Government credit card misuse a fireable offense, OMB rules
Misusing a government-issued credit card is now a fireable offense, Federal News Radio reports.
The Office for Management and Budget has released a series of new steps to eliminate the improper use of government credit and agencies must comply by the end of September.
These steps include the development of penalties for those who commit such an act, which includes the termination of employees who make illegal or erroneous purchases with government-issued cards.
