James Wade pleads guilty to armed robbery outside Logan Circle restaurant

A man pleaded guilty Friday to an armed robbery charge stemming from a hold-up outside a Northwest D.C. restaurant in mid-May. 

Police say James E. Wade, 30, approached two people men dining outside Pizzoli's Pizzeria in Logan Circle on the evening of May 17 and brandished a handgun. Surveillance video shows the men handing over their cash, a wallet and cell phone. 

Wade was arrested on June 8. Sentencing is set for early November. He could spend up to 30 years in prison.
