Josh Burdette, 9:30 Club manager, died of suicide
Josh Burdette, a longtime bouncer and manager at Washington's 9:30 Club, took his own life, The Washington Post reports.
Burdette, 37, was found dead inside his Kensington home Sunday.
For many, Burdette was the face of the V Street Northwest music venue. His stretched earlobes, tattoos and body piercings made him stand out from the crowd. He began working at the club in 1997.
"Here was this scary looking dude that was a complete contradiction of his appearance. We were proud to have him as our ambassador to the world," co-owner Seth Hurwitz told ABC7 earlier this week.
