Navy Yard shooting: Washington Nationals auctioning jerseys for victim relief fund
The Washington Nationals are auctioning off the jerseys they wore in tribute the victims of the Navy Yard shooting to raise money for the families of the victims.
Each player on the Nationals who suited in Tuesday afternoon's game against the Atlanta Braves signed his blue game jersey, which is now available for auction on the Nationals' website.
The team says that the auction's proceeds will be donated to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, the organization that provides support to the families of victims who died in Monday's incident of mass murder.
Prices for the jerseys range from $150 dollars for jerseys signed by players including Jordan Zimmermann and Rafael Soriano to $2,300 for a jersey signed and worn by Bryce Harper.
The auction for each jersey ends on Sept. 26.
