Plane crash drill at Reagan Airport to be held Saturday
An emergency training exercise will be held at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Saturday morning, during which a plane will be set on fire.
The Washington Business Journal reports that the drill will be held between 8:30 a.m. and noon Saturday. It'll simulate the emergency response to a plane crash.
During the drill, sirens will blare, and fire trucks will respond to the scene as if it were a real accident, during which a training plane will be set on fire.
The FAA requires airports to hold a drill like this every three years.
