Two women shot in Southeast D.C.

Two women were shot overnight, neither fatally, in Southeast D.C.

The two women were shot on the 1300 block of Congress Street SE just after 11 p.m. One victim, a 48-year-old, was shot in the face and the arm while the other, a 50-year-old, was hit in the leg.

Both victims were transported to the hospital and both were conscious and breathing. Police said they are looking for a silver SUV in connection with the investigation.
