Tyrone Lewis convicted of killing Lenwood Harris

The man on trial for killing an Alexandria activist was found guilty Tuesday.

Lenwood Harris was found dead in 2012.
Tyrone Lewis was convicted Tuesday.

The jury in Prince George's County convicted Tyrone Lewis, who was charged with murder and other charges in connection with the killing of Lenwood Harris, 53.

Harris’ body was discovered in 2012 in a well in Fort Washington in Prince George’s County near to where Lewis lived.

Two other men, Linwood Johnson and Ivan Newman, were also charged for Harris’ killing. Johnson previously pleaded guilty to second degree murder charges.

Lewis is also charged in connection with the murders of Justin Antonio Isaacs, 17, and Edmund Akofio-Sowah.

Lewis will be sentenced on Nov. 1. He's facing 140 years for killing Harris.
