Washington Navy Yard shooting: Senate lockdown 'partially' lifted, reports POLITICO
POLITICO is reporting that the Senate has partially lifted a lockdown that was set Monday afternoon after the fatal Navy Yard shootings.
Senate staffers and others inside its buildings will now be allowed to leave, and nobody besides staff will be allowed back inside until Tuesday.
The lockdown reportedly lasted just over an hour and was intended to let Police focus on the situation at hand and maximize security.
