2014 federal contracts likely worth $160 billion
The top 20 government contracts awarded during Fiscal Year 2014 will be worth upwards of $160 billion over their lifetime, according to a Federal Times analysis.
The request for proposals for these contracts will likely be made available in January. They represent a 74 percent increase in value over last year's contracts, according to the results of a Deltek study.
Federal Times says that spending by the Defense Department currently accounts for 73 percent of the top 20 contracts, half of those going to the Army.
