Bill Clinton to hit Virginia campaign trail for McAuliffe
Former President Bill Clinton is joining Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe on the campaign trail.
Clinton's three-day tour with the Democratic nominee will begin Oct. 27, just days before the Nov. 5 election. Further detail and locations have not been announced.
McAuliffe is a long-time friend of the Clinton family, raising millions of dollars during Clinton's runs for president. Both Clintons have already hosted fundraisers on behalf of McAuliffe in this year's election.
Sunday's announcement comes one a day after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton re-emerged on the political scene and appeared at the "Women for Terry" event in Falls Church.
A new poll by Christopher Newport University shows McAuliffe holding a seven-point lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli, the Washington Post reports.
