Just before 2 a.m., police saw Brandon Michael Shreve, 18, strike a curb as he drove down Robinwood Road. Two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were also in the car. Shreve parked on Cresswell Road with the vehicle's lights off. When police approached Shreve, he told them he was checking to see if his vehicle was damaged. That's when officers noticed 70 boxes of law enforcement ammunition in plain view.

A search of the car revealed bolt cutters, flashlights, latex gloves and several car parts.

Shreve admitted to police to breaking into a trailer on New Ridge Road in Hanover and stealing ammunition. The trio also admitted to breaking into a Ford Mustang and stealing car parts. All three were charged.
