Clarence Taylor trial begins in deaf school abuse case

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - Jury selection is beginning in Ellicott City for the trial of a former dormitory aide charged with sexually abusing seven students at the Maryland School for the Deaf in Columbia.

The trial of 38-year-old Clarence Taylor begins Monday. He is accused of molesting students from 2008 to 2011 when he worked the evening shift at the dorm. Some of the girls were as young as 10.

Some of the alleged victims told police Taylor kissed, hugged and fondled them while they were overnight students at the school.
