The government has shut down its annual philanthropy drive for federal workers until the shutdown ends, Federal Times reports.

Each year, the Department of Health and Human Services operates its Combined Federal Campaign, which aims to support charitable giving across all federal agencies.

CFC operations in many areas have already been suspended, though, because workers who implement the program have been furloughed.

Federal Times says that the CFC will restart when the shutdown ends.
