D.C. area foreclosures jump in September from 2012

The housing market may be bouncing back nationwide – but not in the D.C. area.

The Washington Business Journal reports
that foreclosures in the D.C. area jumped in September from the same time last year.

In Maryland, foreclosures are up 230 percent from the same time last year while in D.C. foreclosures are up 52 percent, the Washington Business Journal reports.

Virginia, meanwhile, experienced a 36 percent quarterly increase.
