Heather Abbott takes up racing after losing leg at Boston Marathon
Nearly six months after the bombings at the Boston Marathon took a portion of her leg, Heather Abbott is not just moving again - she's racing.
Abbott had her left leg amputated after the April 15 bombing, according to WHDH. She was standing near the finish line and watching racers cross when the bombs went off.
She's received four sets of prostheses, and most recently, she has taken up racing.
"I'm trying to do all the things I used to do," Abbott told WHDH.
