Manassas house fire on Tattersall Drive
MANASSAS, Va. (WJLA) - Firefighters battled a two-alarm house fire in Manassas Wednesday morning. The fire broke out at about 2 a.m. in the 10,000 block of Tattersall Drive.
Neighbors say they heard a loud explosion coming from the back of the house before the fire started. Three people were home at the time and all of them made it out safely.
Investigators say there is extensive damage to the home, particularly to the back and the roof. The home is a total loss. Investigators are trying to determine a cause.
The fire did spread to a neighboring home, but the family was out of town. There is damage to one side of that home.
