Metro weekend track work to close portion of Red Line

A major portion of Metro's Red line that services the heart of downtown Washington will be closed all weekend for track work.
Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, buses will replace trains between Dupont Circle and NoMa-Gallaudet. Union Station, Judiciary Square and Farragut North will be closed. Gallery Place will be open for Yellow and Green Line trains only. Metro Center will be open for Blue and Orange Line trains only.
The last Red Line train of the night from Glenmont to NoMa-Gallaudet will leave 41 minutes earlier than normal. The last train from Shady Grove to Dupont Circle will leave 30 minutes earlier than normal.
Orange and Green Line trains will run at regular weekend intervals, except at Greenbelt, where trains will arrive and depart every 20 to 25 minutes.
Trains will run every 16 minutes on the Blue and Yellow lines.
Weekend track work ends at system closing on Sunday.
