(WJLA) - An overhaul to the work and pay schedules that Border Patrol agents follow could be coming, Federal Times reports.

In an attempt to curtail uncontrollable overtime, the bipartisan bill would let agents choose between three options: 100 hours per two-week pay period with 20 hours of overtime, 90 hours with 10 of overtime or 80 with no overtime.

The move would affect 21,000 Border Patrol agents nationwide, Federal Times says.
