Department of Homeland Security to investigate overtime abuse allegations

A handful of government agencies are at the center of a Homeland Security Department investigation into abuses of overtime pay, Federal Times reports.

The review comes after employees at the department were accused of spending millions of taxpayer dollars on undue overtime, during which workers are said to have been adding two hours of overtime to their paychecks and not doing any work to earn it.

Agencies included specifically in the review include branches of ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
