Federal employees can opt for unscheduled leave or telework

As per the Office of Personnel Management, federal agencies in the Washington, D.C. area are open and employees have the option for either unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

Non-emergency employees must notify their supervisor of their intent to use unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework, while emergency employees are expected to report to their worksites on time unless otherwise directed by their agencies.
