Fort Meade alleged child sex abuse investigated
Fort Meade officials say the FBI is investigating an alleged incident of child sex abuse involving a former civilian employee of the Fort Meade Youth Center.
The allegations were reported to police and the suspect has been banned from Fort Meade.
The FBI will lead the investigation since the allegations involve a federal facility.
The Secretary of the Army has ordered a review of all youth programs.
The suspect has not been identified.
"We have established a 24-hour Family Assistance Call Center for parents, who may call 866-454-9414 with any questions they may have about the Fort Meade Youth Center," said Col. Brian P. Foley, Fort Meade Garrison Commander.
