iPad Air goes on sale, Kraft removes dyes
(WJLA) - Big news for techies and Apple lovers - the iPad Air went on sale in Apple stores on Friday.
Apple unveiled the fifth-generation iPad last month. It’s 20-percent thinner and 28-percent lighter than the fourth-generation iPad. Apple says it’s also 72 times faster than the original iPad. Prices start at $499 and go up to $629.
Kraft has announced its plans to pull the artificial yellow dye from some of its kid-friendly boxes. The change does not affect the original mac and cheese flavor, but only new recipes of SpongeBob SquarePants, Halloween and winter shapes.
The new natural color will contain more whole grains and less sodium and saturated fat. The change follows a petition online.
It may only be Nov. 1, but one major retailer is trying to entice you to shop early for the holidays. Walmart is offering seven big deals on items such as televisions and tablets a month earlier than they were originally planning.
The seven deals include a 42-inch JVC LED TV for $299, a savings of 36 percent, and a 10-inch XELIO tablet for $49, a 51 percent discount. The items will be available while supplies last.
