Lantz Day charged for obstruction of justice
Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly struck several parked cars in Fredericksburg on Saturday evening before running off.
Several witnesses told police that a gray Buick struck five cars in the 200 block of Hanover Street before its driver fled on foot. The witnesses tried to catch the suspect, but say he was belligerent and made threats.
Lantz Day, a passenger, was found inside the vehicle on the corner of Hanover and Caroline streets. When Day tried to run from police, he was tased, according to Fredericksburg police.
Day, 36, was arrested and charged for obstruction of justice. He has been released on $3,500 bond.
Police continue to search for the driver, who is described as a light-skinned black man. He has not been identified.
