Metro said Wednesday that the NTSB had closed seven more of the recommendations, bringing the total recommendations closed to 20. Metro says that of the nine remaining recommendations, four have been submitted to NTSB for closure.

The remaining five recommendations involve longer-term projects, including the replacement of the oldest rail cars in the Metro system.

The recommendations Metro announced Wednesday that have been closed include ensuring appropriate coordination between departments to resolve issues before new equipment is purchased.
