Natalie Randolph resigns as Coolidge High School football coach
(WJLA) - Natalie Randolph, the woman widely believed to have been the only female high school football coach in the United States, resigned from her position at Washington's Coolidge High School earlier this week, school officials say.
As first reported by the Washington Post, Randolph stepped down after four seasons at the helm of the Northwest Washington school's varsity football program.
She led Coolidge to the Turkey Bowl in 2011 and went 16-26 over her four seasons at the school. The Colts went 1-10 during the 2013 season.
The Post reports that Randolph will continue to serve as a science teacher at Coolidge.
