NVDaily.com reports that Nicholas Robert Greco, a 34-year-old middle school teacher, was involved in the hazing and assault of a 13-year-old boy on a Shenandoah County school campus.

School officials wouldn't confirm to NVDaily.com which school Greco worked at, but did confirm that he served as an assistant athletic director at Central High School. Officials did say that the alleged hazing was connected to a sports team.

Shenandoah County Sheriff's officials say that Greco, a Maurertown resident, has been charged with hazing, assault and battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The student reportedly did not go to the hospital, but sustained several injuries in connection to the incident, which authorities say involved several students.

Greco is due back in court on Dec. 5.
