Ron Kirby murder: Police plea for public's help
(WJLA) - Alexandria police are pleaing for the public’s help in a high-profile murder.
Ron Kirby was a well-known and respected transportation planner. Police say a relative found him shot to death in his Alexandria home Monday afternoon.
Officers want to hear from anyone who might have seen anything unusual in the neighborhood on Veterans Day. They also want to talk to anybody who had spoken to Kirby over the past few weeks.
“I’m particularly focused in the last three or four weeks trying to get a timeline of when he may have talked to individuals or people who may remember some sort of conversation or something unusual happening around Mr. Kirby,” says Chief Earl Cook of the Alexandria Police Department. “That’s what we’re targeting.”
Chief Cook says his investigators are following some leads, but have no suspects.
