Privacy star found the average American receives two to three telemarketer calls a day. And more than 4.5 billion text messages were sent last year.
Despite adding your number to the do not call registry, many say the calls are still coming. The reason is because of the electronic signature, or e-signature online.
If you click on a link in an e-mail, click a “yes” button on a website, pressed a key on a phone or said “yes” in a recorded phone call, under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, you may have given written consent for companies to call you.
