United flight attendant injured as plane makes abrupt stop
(WJLA) - A United Airlines flight attendant suffered minor injuries when a plane was forced to brake suddenly to avoid a collision at Dulles International Airport Saturday morning.
Officials say United Airlines Flight 379 to Orlando began to taxi to the runway around 8:30 a.m. when the pilot made an abrupt stop to avoid hitting an airport service vehicle. A flight attendant who was standing in the aisle was hurt during the stop and transported to an area hospital.
The operator of the service vehicle was ticketed for violating airport safety regulations.
