Aron Rolston, hiker dramatized in 127 Hours, accused of domestic violence

(WJLA) - The hiker who cut off his own arm after being trapped for days inside a Utah canyon was arrested Sunday on domestic violence allegations.

Aron Ralston, the man whose ordeal was dramatized in the film 127 hours, was arrested Sunday on one count of assault and another of wrongs to minors, the Denver Post reports.

Ralston was trapped by a boulder in a southeast Utah canyon in 2003, forcing him to break his own arm and subsequently cut a portion of it off.
