Arrest made in connection with Salvation Army robbery

(WJLA) - An arrest has been made in made in connection with the robbery of a Salvation Army branch earlier in the month.

According to detectives, a juvenile male was arrested and charged with Burglary Two on Friday.

Two burglars broke into the Solomon G. Brown Corps Community Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on December 1st. The suspects got away with about $10,000 in Red Kettle donations.

Salvation Army spokesman Ken Forsythe says that three donors came through to more than make up for the loss. They include a $15,000 donation from Walmart, $10,000 from a local attorney and about $10,000 from an unnamed foundation.
