(WJLA) - When the time is this tight, the mall is this packed.
Navigating this commercial jungle just days before Christmas takes planning, persuasion, and most importantly – perseverance.
On the tail end of one of the shortest shopping seasons in years, stores are staying open later than usual, some even a full 24 hours. They are catering to the night owls and the early birds, as well as the procrastinators.
The round-the-clock availability could help shoppers beat the clock before the end of the season rolls through town.
One of those department chains - Kohl's - has kept their stores open continuously since last Friday. They'll remain open through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Other stores, such as Target, Walmart, Macy's and Nordstrom and Toys 'R Us plan on staying open deep into the night Tuesday to appease the most tardy of last-minute shoppers.
