(WJLA) - Loudoun County Animal officials say all carcasses found last month in a creek were wild animals. It was previously thought that one of the animals was a dog, according to the Loudoun Times.

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is still trying to figure out who dumped the skinned carcasses into Catoctin Creek. There were more than 70 animals.

Loudoun County Animal Services officials say they've closed its investigation into the incident.
