Loudoun police: 2 armed robbery cases believed to be linked
(WJLA) - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating two separate incidents that are believed to be related.
A robbery was reported early Sunday in the 46500 block of Lynnhaven Square in Sterling. Authorities say an armed man approached a woman around 6:15 a.m. and demanded she drop several items and remove her clothing. The victim ran into her home, leaving her belongings behind.
A short time later, a second incident was reported in the 10200 block of Mckean Court. Police say a man approached a woman who was unloading groceries. The suspect brandished a firearm and pointed the weapon at the victim, authorities say. The victim screamed and ran away.
The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and possibly driving a burgundy or red vehicle.
