As first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tomlin was fined $100,000 a day after apologizing for purposely stepping on the field to get in the way of Baltimore Ravens kick returner Jacoby Jones.

Schefter reports that the NFL could also penalize the franchise in the future by taking away a draft pick.

Tomlin apologized Tuesday for his "embarrassing and inexcusable" action during his team's 22-20 loss.

That play jeopardized the integrity of the NFL from a competition standpoint," Tomlin said.
