(WJLA) - When a pilot has got to eat, a pilot has apparently got to eat - and he'll spare no flight delay to get what he wants.

According to The Nation, the pilot of a New York-bound Pakistan International Airlines flight this past weekend kept his plane at the gate in Lahore until catering crews met his demand of getting him a specific sandwich from a local five-star restaurant.

The pilot kept the plane at the ground for two and a half hours while caterers, on direction from airline management, retrieved him a sandwich.

An airline spokesman told The Nation that management will take action against those responsible for the delay.
