The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the Quixel baby rattle made by Manhattan Toy can break into pieces that can create a choking hazard for small children.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the toy, but the CPSC has received multiple reports of the rattles breaking. That prompted the recall of about 8,300 rattles in the United States and 4,100 more in Canada.

Those who purchased the Quixel rattle can take it back to the store where they bought it for a full refund. The rattles were sold at stores nationwide between September of 2011 and this past October.
