Arlington Police look for more details in Lawson death
ARLINGTON, Va. (WJLA) - On Thursday, the Arlington County Police Department put out a plea to two witnesses they believe were behind the dump truck that killed Lawson on Monday, but they didn't wait around for police.
Investigators say the drivers or occupants of those vehicles could give them valuable details in the case.
Later on Thursday night, dozens came to Little Falls Presbyterian to remember 39-year-old Jennifer Lawson.
"She was kind, she was bubbly, she was artistic, just a wonderful woman," said Pastor Merrill. "I'm just going to remember a warm smile, just a woman who loved her children, who loved her family so much."
In light of Monday's tragedy, Arlington police were on hand outside to make sure everyone got across Little Falls Road safely.
At the prayer vigil, Pastor Merrill prayed for Jennifer Lawson's husband Neal, who is left to raise three children -- the oldest in kindergarten.
"It's a huge loss, he has lost his best friend," said Pastor Merrill. "He has a community around him -- the church, the neighborhood -- that really loves him and wants to look out for him."
Anyone with information on the witnesses' identities are asked to call (703) 228-4618 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
