Alvaro Zepeda stabbed to death in Fairfax County
FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WJLA) - Fairfax County Police say Alvaro Zepeda, 40, was stabbed to death in his apartment Thursday morning. His live-in girlfriend was also attacked, but survived.
It all started just after 6 a.m. at an apartment in the 2900 block of John Marshall Drive in Seven Corners.
Fairfax County Police will only say that everyone involved knew each other. Zepeda's family members say the accused murderer was Zepeda's tenant and that their living arrangement may have recently soured.
Investigators say Zepeda's accused murderer ran from the apartment after the stabbing. A Fairfax County police helicopter cornered him in a grove of trees two blocks away at Upton Hill Park. Both the officer and suspect were injured during the arrest. The extent of their injuries is not known.
