Bethesda home invasion: Police catch one suspect

CHEVY CHASE, Md. (WJLA) - Sporting camouflage-print pants and an olive-green jacket, police say this burglar didn’t blend in with the Bethesda lunch crowd when he attempted to break into this home.

Housekeeper Ruziel Angdisen remembers his face:

"I just screamed and ran."

Angdisen was cleaning an upstairs bedroom at this house, when the alleged camo-clad criminal and a male accomplice crept into the backyard. When she spotted them, she screamed, ran over, and locked the door.

Caught in the act, the duo sprinted down the Capital Crescent Trail into the heart of Bethesda, where officers managed to catch one, but lost the other inside a parking garage.

Last May, it wasn't a door but a window that burglars used to steal electronics from the same home.

This family says urban living unfortunately goes hand-in-hand with crime, and is now ramping up security in order to prevent a third break-in.
