Cherry blossoms enter second stage of development

(WJLA) - The peek bloom of the cherry blossoms is a little more than two weeks away. That's according to the National Park Service.

The trees are now in their "second stage of bud development". The Park Service says they should reach full bloom during the second week in April. That's later than normal thanks in part to the unusually cold winter.
