(WJLA) - Two boys playing with matches started a fire that destroyed a barn in Lothian Saturday, Anne Arundel County fire officials say.

Firefighters responded just before 4 p.m. to the 5900 block of Talbot Road. That's when they discovered the 30-foot by 40-foot barn was fully engulfed in flames, with fire extending to a trailer parked next to the barn.

It took about 10 minutes to control the blaze.

Two boys, ages 10 and 12, were treated at the scene.

The fire caused $10,000 in damages and was ruled accidental. The boys were not charged.
