Hughesville UPS thefts caught on camera

(WJLA) - A reward is offered in the theft of UPS packages from the front porch of two Hughesville, Md., homes.

According to Charles County police, the thefts happened Monday on Dusty Miller Court and Pale Morning Court about 15 minutes after the packages had been dropped off by a UPS employee.

In one case, the theft was caught on surveillance video. The suspect is described as a black man, possibly in his twenties, with a dark complexion. Police say he has short dreadlocks and was wearing a black skull cap and black glasses. The suspect's car appeared to be an older model light-colored Nissan Altima.

Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information should call police.
