Man fatally shot in Southeast D.C. Friday night
WASHINGTON (WJLA) – D.C. police are offering a reward for information leading to the suspect or suspects who fatally shot a man in Southeast over the weekend.
The incident occured in the 1200 block of Eaton Road SE just after midnight, late Friday night leading into early Saturday morning.
Officers from the seventh district responded to a call for a report of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Fire and emergency personnel arrived on the scene and transported the man to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Derrick Eugene Williams of Southeast D.C.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1200 block of Eaton Road, Southeast.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
