Sulaimon Brown announced Monday that D.C. Councilmember Muriel Bowser has his support in the April 1 Democratic primary. He says the mayor's office needs "a woman's touch" to move the city past what he calls a corrupt administration.

Brown was a candidate for mayor in 2010. He revealed after Gray took office that Gray's campaign paid him to stay in the race and make negative comments about then-mayor Adrian Fenty. Brown came forward after being fired from a $110,000-a-year Gray administration job.

His comments led to an ongoing federal investigation of Gray's campaign. Four people who worked on the campaign have pleaded guilty to felonies.
