(WJLA) - It was a far from normal day for one D.C. area high school senior.  Tuesday morning, ABC7 was at Ballou High School in southeast as one lucky senior was awarded a Tractenberg scholarship.

This scholarship provides a full four year ride to George Washington University.
GW president Steven Knapp did the honors with the university's mascot by his side.

Tai'Lon Jackson is one of eight college-bound D.C. high school seniors that will receive full scholarships, worth more than $200,000 each, to GW this year.
