(WJLA) - When asked why they want to be on "The Bachelor," the answers are varied.

“To find true love.”

“To find my soulmate.”

"I've been single for a long time and ready to find love."

After filling out a questionnaire on love and life, producers herded hopefuls into one-on-one interviews on Thursday. We were not allowed in, so we waited outside.

"If it does work out, and somehow I end up on the show and somehow find love -- how awesome is that to tell your kids one day?" says one hopeful.

"I feel like I'm too old for this kind of stuff now," says the sister of another. "I have kids and I'm just living vicariously through my sister.

"I think it went really well -- they say I look like a great candidate so I may get a callback!" says one woman after her interview.

Another says she got a curveball question about her past relationship:

"I wasn't prepared for that, but I went through it in a breeze."

why are you - worthy of the affection of every woman in America? I'm funny, outgoing, I'm a people person over all- great hearted and and I think that's what it takes to hold a woman's heart

We hope you were watching closely, because one of those ladies could end up on the bachelor on ABC 7 to find love!
