Huawei and the NSA
For years, American officials have prevented Huawei from doing significant business with U.S. companies. They expressed concern that Huawei would give the Chinese government access to public- and private-sector secrets.
Now, there's a new twist to the story. The New York Times reports, "Even as the United States made a public case about the dangers of buying from Huawei, classified documents show that the National Security Agency was creating its own back doors - directly into Huawei's networks."
Bill Plummer, vice president of external affairs for Huawei USA, offered reaction on Government Matters.
