Starting Friday, D.C.-ers will be able to pony up to a new "grilled cheese bar" to get melty sandwiches of all varieties, from the classic grilled cheese to the gourmet versions made with the likes of feta cheese, Wisconsin blue cheese, Gruyere and more.

Grilled Cheese D.C. will celebrate its grand opening on Friday at 11 a.m. at 1730 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 to 3 for lunch, and 5:30 to 9 p.m. for dinner.

In addition to grilled cheeses of all varieties, the restaurant will also serve soups, salads and even a cheese and charcutierie plate.

Customers can choose their own grilled cheese ingredients, or choose from a menu of signature styles. The eatery offers a wide selection of artisan breads for their sandwiches.

In the evenings, Grilled Cheese D.C. will step up their offerings with music, cheese plates, spicy meats, cocktails and beers, according to their website.
