Following a two-and-a-half-week investigation, Manassas City police and ICAC investigators executed a search warrant at the home of Carlos M. Hernandez, 61, in the 9400 block of Taney Road, regarding the suspected possession of child pornography.

Officials said the investigation centered on detected downloads of "obscene material," allegedly by Hernandez.

"Numerous items were removed from the residence stemming from the search warrant," police said in a statement on Wednesday. "Hernandez was identified as the suspect through investigation and interviews."

Police said Hernandez was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was held without bond and has a pending juvenile and domestic relations court date of June 3.

Police also announced that further investigation is ongoing, and there is reason to believe there may be additional victims. Police are encouraging any potential victims to come forward by calling the Manassas City Police Department Investigative Services Division at 703-257-8092.
